Welcome Film lovers of "All" kinds, hopefully you'll come across something the like or have an interest in or perhaps something completely New :)
I've wanted to do something like this for quite some time. I enjoy many different kinds of movies/films, and my collection and tastes have changed and grown over the years.
This page/blog serves several purposes. It will allow me to share my collection and the movies I find, both Old & New that I think look interesting. And it will allow me to Catalog my Collection in several ways that would be difficult otherwise.
My plan for each film submitted will be to showcase the Trailer (if available), a brief description, the Type/Genre of the Film, the Release Date, the MPAA Rating...and my own personal Movie Menagerie Rating (aka Mr.Menagerie Rating/MM 1-5)
This way, through the use of Tags/Labels there should be a way to Search and Sort through say all the Scifi films or Westerns or all the films listed from 1979 and so on.
I'm excited about the Project and hope it allows some out there to remember some old classics and hopefully find something new.
As I said, I have quite an eclectic collection and tastes. From early Classics of the 30s and 40s to modern day Comedies & Dramas...from Jimmy Stewart Westerns to Italian Thriller/Horror "Giallo" films.Truly a little bit of everything, but I do seem to gravitate in this order: Horror/Thriller/Giallo/Scifi/Fantasy/Action/Comedy/Drama...that's pretty much how it shakes out normally, though there are always exception to any Rule ;)
The only thing I'm not sure of is what to do about my Anime and TV Series Collection. This IS the Movie Menagerie and though there are a few Anime "Movie" titles, most are Episodic series, as are the TV shows.
I guess at some point I could add them in and simply Label/Tag them as such so people could exclude them at will.
We'll see how it goes. For now I think I'll stick with Movies :)

Feel free to comment and discuss anything you see here, but I'll be upfront and honest, I'm not doing this to "debate" the worthiness of a film or my personal Rating. If you hate or dislike a film that's fine. If you feel the need to let me know by saying something like "Wow, I hated that Film!"...again that's fine. Just don't be rude or crude and we'll be fine. Otherwise I will remove the post...just saying ;)
For now, I'll leave it at that...as another reason I enjoy the "Blogger" format is that I can always add or edit posts and comments when I think of something I should of said...later when I'm in the shower or trying to go to sleep lol
Enjoy (hopefully) but do understand that this will take some time and there won't be thousands of posts here all at once :)
